About therapy

There are many reasons why people seek therapy. It may be that you wish to discuss a particular problem or symptom, be feeling trapped in repetitive and unhelpful patterns, or you may be struggling in relationships, or looking for more meaningful and satisfying ways of living. Whatever the reason, I aim to provide a confidential space to talk, where you feel safe, valued and respected. The way I work is to listen closely to your concerns and support you to find new ways of understanding the issues you are experiencing, to make better and more informed choices for yourself and within your relationships.

What to expect in your first session

In the initial meeting we will discuss the concerns and problems that you are facing, how these are impacting on you, your needs or wishes for the therapy, and how we might work together. During the first meeting we will also discuss the contract and practicalities.

Often people are unsure about whether to start therapy, or which therapist to see and for how long. This initial meeting is an opportunity for you to decide whether therapy might be helpful to you at this time, and to ask any questions and raise any concerns you may have.

If you decide to continue, regular sessions take place at the same time each week for 50 minutes. I offer short-term, long-term and open-ended therapy.

Fees

£70 a session (50 mins)

Concessions for students and low earners may be available.
