Integrative Therapy

My training is in Integrative Psychotherapy.

This training allows me to consider a wide range of ways for us to work together to achieve your therapy goals. I take a holistic and individualised approach by placing the clients’ unique needs at the heart of the work. In this way together we can look at which ways of working are best for you and your individual life experiences and circumstances. I work with humanistic, psychodynamic, existential, transpersonal and CBT models such as mindfulness.

Far more than any of the psychotherapy training models I feel that the relationship between client and therapist to be the most important factor that contributes to lasting change. Research continually re-confirms that a safe, open, non-judgmental relationship that offers an opportunity for the client to be seen, heard, understood, respected, and valued promotes authentic connection to occur. It is within this connection that client healing and change becomes possible.

Starting therapy

It is common to feel unsure about starting therapy, with whom to start with or for how long. Together we can discuss any concerns or questions you may have to enable you to make the best choice for you.

Our first session is an opportunity to meet each other, discuss what brings you to therapy at this time in your life, your wishes or expectations from therapy and look at how we might work together. We will also discuss the contract and practical aspects of working together.

Should you decide to proceed with therapy our sessions would take place weekly at the same time. I offer short term, long term, and open-ended therapy which we will discuss together at the start of our work.

Please feel free to call, text, email or visit my website to book an appointment.

I aim to reply to all enquiries within 48 hours.
