Michelle Ruth
Integrative Counsellor
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. We don’t always fully understand why we feel the way we feel, so understanding our patterns of behaviour through counselling can be a validating and empowering experience. It can help us move forward in life with greater understanding and a deeper sense of self.
Who I work with
I work with clients experiencing various difficulties, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, low mood, bereavement, trauma, illness, low self-esteem, relationship or family issues, gender identity, sexuality, sexual abuse, loneliness, work-related stress, grief and feeling stuck.
I aim to provide inclusive and affirmative therapy with all clients, regardless of experience or how they present to the world - you don’t have to be anyone but yourself.
How I work
Every person is unique, so I take an individual approach with each client. I am respectful and compassionate in my approach and I’m committed to helping you understand your experiences, heal from past trauma and live your life in the most meaningful way possible.
I work with adults on an individual basis, offering both short-term and long-term counselling. I also offer single-session counselling and Wellbeing MOTs, for those looking for a one-off experience without the commitment of regular therapy.
If you are neurodivergent, have any type of disability and require adaptations to be made, I would encourage you to let me know so that I can consider how to ensure your needs are met.
I work both online and in-person.
Fees
Each session will cost £75 and sessions last for 50 minutes (excluding Wellbeing MOTs).
I offer a limited number of sessions at a concessionary rate - please contact me to discuss this further.
Starting your therapy journey
I understand that you may feel apprehensive about starting therapy. If you would like to understand a little more about what to expect, and it would help to have a brief phone call, please contact me to arrange this.
